Summary Report/Recommendations
This report outlines a framework for supporting people with long COVID through increased public awareness, accommodations within the school and workplace, research, and advocacy. It emphasizes a person-centered approach to designing this framework and understanding the lived experiences of people with long COVID. As such, recommendations focus on areas identified to be of greatest importance to the community, rather than clinical researchers.
Promising Practices that show evidence of effectiveness in improving public health outcomes in a specific real-life setting, as indicated by achievement of aims consistent with the objectives of the activities, and are suitable for adaptation by other communities.

Peer Review Study
This analysis identifies risk factors and socio-economic impacts of long COVID with a public health lens. It notes that more analysis is needed, but encourages the impacts of long COVID to be seen within a larger social, and not just medical, context. Workplace and family structure implications are substantial. Long COVID should be tracked as distinct condition using person-centered research techniques that include traditionally underrepresented populations such as children.

White Paper/Brief
This resource lists tips for how to support people experiencing post-COVID conditions such as long COVID. Guidance includes compassionate listening, stress mitigation techniques, and referring people to external resources. Support groups for post-COVID conditions such as long COVID are listed in this resource.

White Paper/Brief
This article discusses the development of the Visible app, which uses wearables or smart watches to help measure and manage long COVID. Visible helps to manage long COVID and other chronic fatigue diseases with a heartrate-monitored guidance strategy that emphasizes pacing as long COVID patients return to physical activity.

Case Study
A UK-based program gradually increased physical activity among people suffering from long COVID. Physical activity regimes were established by clinicians and gradually increased in intensity over six weeks. Over the course of the program, significant reductions in episodes of “crashing” and symptoms of breathlessness and headaches were reported by participants.

Summary Report/Recommendations
This article provides an overview of existing evidence on the effectiveness of various approaches to remote pediatric health care delivery and identifies areas for further research. The recommendations for further research, in particular, focus on opportunities to address health disparities through remote care strategies such as telemedicine.

Summary Report/Recommendations
This article parallels the works of the multidisciplinary academic group on children and coronavirus (MACC) in Israel with a multidisciplinary team from John Hopkins’ own efforts to create data-driven solutions to minimize health and education inequities for children throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This project produced several outputs including a series of free, web-based, school-reopening modules for school and district administrators; a 2020-2021 School Reopening Tracker based on publicly available data sources; a Teacher & School Staff Vaccination COVID-19 Dashboard; and a COVID-19 Global Education Recovery Tracker. Links to all these resources are included in the article.

Blog
This blog post offers considerations for pediatric medical care teams and community partners to ensure more equitable COVID-19 vaccine distribution among children. These recommendations fall under four broad categories and draw from conversations with pediatric practices, family advisors, and core partners engaged in Accelerating Child Health Transformation, a national initiative led by the Center for Health Care Strategies with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Peer Review Study
This paper analyzes the policy components that contribute to the programmatic success of flu and Tdap pregnancy vaccine programs in three high-income countries, including the United States. Key pillars to increased vaccination coverage include Health Authority accountability, facilitated patient access to vaccination, healthcare professional accountability and engagement, awareness of the burden and severity of diseases, and finally, belief in the benefits of pregnancy vaccination. In the US, given the higher diversity of stakeholders, a multi-stakeholder approach with calls to action from the CDC and endorsement from other scientific societies were key to uptake of vaccinations in pregnancy. It is recommended that maternal task forces reinforce these messages, disseminate toolkits, and that partners address barriers that stand in the way of vaccination, including ensuring that vaccination clinics are convenient for pregnant woman. Successful programs do not require implementation of all components; instead, public health experts should use these as components as guiding tools that can be refined depending on the specificities of the healthcare system in place.

Summary Report/Recommendations
The purpose of this brief is to highlight some of the strategies states are pursuing to address equity in allocating their ARPA child care funds. It also provides a framework to support decision making around how to use recovery funds that focuses on the needs and preferences of families—particularly families that face barriers to accessing high-quality ECE. Strategies include: (1) Conducting town halls with families, providers, and other early childhood stakeholders to inform state priorities for allocating the funding.(2) Partnering with intermediary organizations to conduct outreach and technical assistance around the stabilization grants with ECE providers. (3) Using the Social Vulnerability Index to distribute grants to ECE providers that serve the communities most in need within their state.
