This article describes the rapid scale-up of adolescent telehealth services at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Division of Adolescent Medicine. While the scale-up was partially effective in reaching some underserved populations (e.g., people living with HIV, people with substance use disorder, people living with mental illness), racial disparities in visit completion rates are concerning and would need to be addressed by sites replicating this intervention to avoid exacerbating health disparities. The objectives of the study were to describe patterns of COVID-19 testing among LGBTQ+ people and to differentiate rates of COVID-19 testing and test results by sociodemographic characteristics. Participants completed an internet-based survey from May through July 2020 that assessed COVID-19 testing and test results and sociodemographic characteristics. Data were analyzed on receipt and results of PCR and antibody testing for COVID-19 in relation to sociodemographic characteristics. The study confirms the need to create COVID-19 public health messaging and programming that attend to LGBTQ+ populations.
