This article examines the relationship between changes in health-related socioeconomic risks (HRSRs) and mental health for women ages 18-90 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data was collected through a survey that asked questions about any patterns of change in HRSRs (food insecurity, housing instability, interpersonal violence, and difficulties with utilities and transportation). The results found that 40% of women had one or more prepandemic HRSRs, with an increase in HRSRs experience during the pandemic. The odds of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress symptoms are two or three times higher among women who reported at least one HRSR.

This article lists key findings and considerations for jurisdictions and communities regarding ongoing COVID-19 pandemic operations across the country as they relate to persons with disabilities. For example, individuals may need additional support to shop online for food or connect with organizations for food access. In addition, access to COVID-19 information may be difficult to access if websites are not 508 compliant, and a lack of internet access can compound challenges. Finally, some case studies are included for how communities responded to these challenges.

This study investigates the effects of the pandemic on software developers’ well-being and productivity and how the organizations they work for can support them to improve employee productivity. The study concluded that to improve employee productivity, software companies should focus on maximizing employee well-being and improving the ergonomics of employees’ home offices. Women, parents, and disabled individuals may require extra support.
