Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives is designed to support older adults thorough depression education and skill building to increase self sufficiency and active living. The program is structured over 6-8 weeks of sessions and is designed to be administered by staff who have no previous counseling or mental health education. The program originally started in the 1990’s in Washington state and has since been implemented with a wide range of minority and hard-to-reach populations.

Utilizing a framework based on the Community Health Worker Assessment and Improvement Matrix and adapted to the COVID-19 response within the U.S., this report presents a continuum of engagement across several key areas to design or improve CHW-based programs to deliver optimal results. Report describing Anti-Asian racism during COVID-19 in California. This research report presents the results of interviews conducted with 20 individuals from Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities in California. These interviews discussed perceived causes of anti-Asian racism, the impact on the community, and suggested or existing mitigating strategies. These interviews highlighted the connection to the COVID-19 pandemic and the underlying and systemic causes of racism. Mitigating strategies included education about the AAPI community, improved reporting systems, and promoting policy changes to address root causes of racism.

This article recognizes the challenges and describes the adaptations necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. It also emphasizes employee mental health needs. A theoretical framework for organizational interventions is included that utilizes an Occupational Health Psychology approach. The proposed interventions focus on 8 key topics, such as physical health and safety, and psychological wellbeing, in addition to a tiered structure (primary, secondary, and tertiary) of proposed intervention activities that scale based on need.

This resource discusses Project: ACE-IT which is a school-based testing intervention implemented in Pennsylvania. The goal of the program was to reduce in-school transmission risks through routine testing for symptomatic and possibly asymptomatic staff and students. This program was originally adapted from a school-based program in Texas, and has expanded using a ‘train the trainer’ model with materials available on the website.
