The article highlights the need for routine collection, in public health data, of disaggregated information on race, ethnicity, and immigration status, which is not currently available in most countries. Studies from the United States and the United Kingdom have revealed major health inequities among members of racial and ethnic minorities, but little is known about the impact of immigration status on COVID-19 outcomes. These data gaps are a major impediment to designing effective tailored interventions for these populations. Collection and dissemination of COVID-19 data by country of birth or self-reported race/ethnicity (for second- or several-generational minorities) will help determine the relative contribution of each of the driving factors for the observed health disparities.

It offers recommendations on providing and utilizing information technology for online learning to mitigate some inequities borne by socioeconomic and generational differences, English as a second-language learners, and those with disabilities who do not have access to adaptive technology.

This article explores how the relationships between vaccine site density, vaccination rates, and social vulnerability are connected across metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas in the U.S. The study uses CDC Social Vulnerability Index data combined with vaccination site density data to examine how vaccination site placement can benefit highly vulnerable populations. The results determined that while areas with higher socioeconomic vulnerability contain a large density of vaccination sites, this does not affect the low vaccination rates found in these communities. Other methods besides vaccination site placement must be considered to overcome these barriers in vaccination rates.
