White Paper/Brief
This article discusses how to help people understand the full meaning of data about the distribution of COVID-19 and that we must connect the context to the statistics every time we mention them. The article provides examples of statements that bring the landscape into view and tips focused on communicating about data.

This study looks at data of confirmed COVID-19 patients from the Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida. Based upon the results, the team found several health outcomes contribute to hospitalization, re-admission, and death. Evidence found that people with Hispanic ethnicity are of a greater risk of a 30-day readmission from COVID-19 worsening symptoms.

Peer Review Study
This study analyzes CDC data to show the differential impact of COVID-19 on Hispanic individuals. They conducted a multivariate Poisson regression to assess the risk of hospitalization and death in Hispanic White (HW), Hispanic Black (HB), and Hispanic Multiracial/Other (HM) groups compared to non-Hispanic whites (NHW). Hispanic individuals have an increased risk of requiring mechanical ventilation and ICU admission, as compared to White individuals.
